The information of the data base is presented in three distinct, but interrelated,
sections: a repertory of vital events, a genealogical dictionnary and a repertory of
couples. In the present example, the point of entry is the repertory of vital events.
A first page defines a
research of all certificates of the 1760-1765 period where a FRANCOIS RAVARY is named.
This research returns a list
of references, one for each mention of a FRANCOIS RAVARY in a certificate. The dates
carry a link to the corresponding certificate as stored in the data base; here, the marriage of FRANCOIS RAVARY in 1761
was retained as example.
The names of individuals appearing in blue have a link to the file of the individual in
the genealogical dictionary; see FRANCOIS
RAVARY's or his wife's.
Furthermore, in marriage certificates, the word "Couple" points to the file of the couple in the repertory
of couples.
In the individual files, the words or expressions "Family", "First,
second... marriage" point to the corresponding family files in the dictionary. See RAVARY and his wife's.
So each of the three sections can be accessed through a research that can be
circumscribed if desired, and the different pages from the repertories of vital events and
couples or from the genealogical dictionary carry links to the corresponding elements in
the other sections. Navigation at its best! |
